Books and reading have always been a big part of my life, and I’m passionate about helping children and families discover that same joy and confidence through literacy.

I hold a Master of Education and am currently pursuing my Master of Library Science at Texas Woman’s University. I’ve worked as an ESL support teacher for newcomer students and in early childhood programs, where I saw firsthand how books can open doors for kids. Those experiences showed me how powerful literacy is—not just for learning, but for building confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.

As a parent, I also understand how important it is for families to have access to books and support around reading. I want to help BookSpring make those connections, raise awareness, and ensure programs truly meet the needs of communities across Texas.

I would love to bring my perspective, experience, and genuine passion for literacy to the council, helping make a real difference in children’s lives.
