We are now accepting applications for any Central Texas non-profit organization (not just schools or childcare centers) who will distribute books for ownership using the time-tested BookSpring model, and will agree to providing recipients with a choice of books. We offer professional training workshops and instructional materials for your staff and volunteers about how to support parents and caregivers and encourage their confidence and frequency of reading aloud at home, and can provide both gently-used books and volunteer support on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is to provide enough books for at least 3 per child per year to all children who don’t yet have 20 books at home in Central Texas.
