Colors for 3-5 year olds

This week we learn all about colors! Colors make the world a more beautiful place.  You’ve probably heard of red, yellow, and blue already, but did you know that there are millions of different colors?  I like to call myself “aquamarine” or sometimes “chartreuse.”  There are so many colors, we don’t even have names for them all.  If you could name a color, what would it be?

Watch video, download books to read together, and explore things to do with BookSpring.

Read together at home

Here are some books to read together!  You can download and save them and keep them forever, to read again and again.

Things to Do Together

  1. Color hunt – how many items in your home can you find that are red?
  2. Color sort – find a bunch of colored items and let your child sort them into groups by color
  3. Watch a video to learn about and practice saying the colors!
    1. English color video
    2. Colores en Espanol

Share Together

At the end of the week, reflect on what you read, and what you did.

  • Did you…
  • I learned…
