BookSpring Originals

Our Story

BookSpring Originals is a growing collection of bilingual English-Spanish children’s books created by BookSpring, an Austin-based nonprofit with more than 50 years of experience getting books into the hands and homes of children.

We created BookSpring Originals in response to frequent requests from the families, schools, libraries, clinics, and nonprofit partners we serve. They need beautiful, engaging bilingual books that children want to open and adults want to share—but high-quality Spanish-English books are often hard to find at an affordable price.

Research shows that supporting the language spoken at home strengthens dual language learning, early literacy, and family communication in multilingual households. BookSpring Originals helps close that gap with joyful, culturally responsive bilingual books.
