Our Vision:

A young woman in a black sweatshirt holds a baby girl in a floral onesie on her lap while reading a board book together. The baby is reaching towards the book and the young woman is pointing to a page.
BookSpring envisions a world of families reading and succeeding together.

Our Mission:

To ignite a love of reading by engaging young children in under-resourced areas of Texas with no-cost, high-interest books and literacy programming that supports family-focused learning.

BookSpring helps families build joyful home reading routines by connecting children from birth through age 12 with books, encouragement, and practical reading support. Rooted in 50 years of service, BookSpring is evolving from a set of individual programs into a comprehensive Family Reading Network that supports families wherever they are: at home, in schools, in clinics, online, and through trusted community partners.

Our work begins with a simple belief: children are more likely to grow as readers when families have access to books, encouragement, and small, repeatable reading moments that fit into everyday life. BookSpring provides free and low-cost print books, bilingual digital books, family reading tips, videos, newsletters, and community events designed to increase books in the home, strengthen family interaction, and build children’s motivation, language, and literacy skills. Our new BookSpring 原创作品 imprint helps lower the cost and increase the availability of bilingual English/Spanish books for everyone.

To maximize impact, BookSpring partners with schools, medical clinics, childcare centers, libraries, nonprofits, and community organizations to provide Book Access Programs that reach families across Central Texas and beyond. Through book distributions, digital libraries, original bilingual books, family engagement resources, and community-based reading events, BookSpring helps more families see themselves as reading families — and helps more children grow up with books, stories, and reading as part of daily life.
