It was a welcome recognition that our organization has tirelessly pursued its mission of increasing early literacy rates and fostering a love for reading among children in Central Texas. Since its inception, BookSpring has played a pivotal role in distributing books to underserved communities, organizing reading programs, and advocating for the importance of literacy in childhood development.
While BookSpring did not emerge as the award winner, making this round, after a rigorous interview and review process, is itself a significant achievement. Some of the things we are most proud of are raising the base pay of all entry-level employees and creating a generous extended paid parental leave policy that covers both fathers and mothers.
