BookSpring Honored to be in the top Three Finalists for Ethics Award

In the vibrant Central Texas business community, there exists a shared belief that doing good is not only virtuous but also essential for sustainable growth and prosperity. RecognizeGood‘s prestigious Ethics in Business Award program embodies this philosophy, aiming to illuminate and honor businesses, individuals, and nonprofits that prioritize ethical practices. Announced in May 2023, BookSpring, alongside other remarkable nominees in the nonprofit category, stood tall as a beacon of integrity and dedication. It was a welcome recognition that our organization has tirelessly pursued its mission of increasing early literacy rates and fostering a love for reading among children in Central Texas. Since its inception, BookSpring has played a pivotal role in distributing books to underserved communities, organizing reading programs, and advocating for the importance of literacy in childhood development.

While BookSpring did not emerge as the award winner, making this round, after a rigorous interview and review process, is itself a significant achievement. In the spirit of recognizing the achievements of our fellow nominees, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Austin Sunshine Camps for their well-deserved victory in the nonprofit category of the Ethics in Business awards. Their dedication to empowering young individuals and providing transformative experiences through their camp programs is truly inspiring. Austin Sunshine Camps exemplifies the very essence of ethical practices and serves as an outstanding role model for the community.

We would also like to acknowledge Wonders & Worries, who were also nominated in the nonprofit category. Their commitment to supporting children and families facing serious illness through their therapeutic programs is commendable. Wonders & Worries’ compassionate approach and ethical practices demonstrate their unwavering dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of those they serve.

Commitment to Ethical Practices:

BookSpring’s commitment to ethical practices goes beyond its mission of promoting literacy. The organization operates with transparency, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility toward its stakeholders. Donors, partners, and volunteers can trust that their contributions and efforts are making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families. Some of the things we are most proud of are raising the base pay of all entry-level employees and creating a generous extended paid parental leave policy that covers both fathers and mothers.  BookSpring strives to create an inclusive environment where everyone is respected and valued for their contributions at all levels of the organization.
