Staff Spotlight: Ana Krueger, Administrative Assistant

What is your job title at BookSpring and what does it mean to you?

My role as an Administrative Assistant is to act as support for the Development and Finance departments as well as our Board of Directors. The nature of my role is to be flexible with the growing needs of the organization. Wherever that additional support is needed, depending on the season and our current goals, is where I will be!

What is your favorite part of what you do?

I started at BookSpring as a part-time aide and just recently moved into this full-time position. My favorite part about my role so far is learning all of the different facets and nuances of our organization and the day-to-day operations of nonprofits.

What do you see for the future of BookSpring?

BookSpring as a whole is becoming a staple in Texas and I only foresee growth as we continue to expand. I’m very excited to see our work with digital reading and BookSpring Originals take off.

I am a huge advocate for public access to online literary resources and understand these resources are often overlooked as many do not know they exist.

What would you like to tell the BookSpring audience about yourself?

Outside of work, I have a narrow collection of hobbies. I spend most of my time climbing and have found a wonderful community in my life from that. I also have a love for second-hand objects and spend my weekends at thrift and consignment stores, filling my house with mismatched knick-knacks.
