Think of all the sounds that a rhythm can be. Ratatatat and Dumdedumdum. A rhythm can even be quiet (shhh!). Can you think of some? Let’s find some rhythms in a book!
Watch videos, download books to read together, and explore things to do with BookSpring.

Things to do Together
Here are some great activities to try with the whole family.
Talk: what does “rhythm” mean? What are some of your favorite rhythms and songs?
Create: Make your own rhythm and beats! Use your hands to clap and snap, and use other objects around the house like cups, pans, and wooden spoons to make different beats and sounds.
Move: Put on your favorite music and dance as a family to the beats!
Read: Read “I Got the Rhythm!” with PBS Kids. This video has closed captions in Spanish available!
At the end of the week, reflect on what you read and what you did.
